Gloria González

Founder and Lead Instructor

Gloria has always been fascinated by how language, emotion, and human connection intersect. Drawing on her background-which includes a Master’s in Social Emotional Learning, a BA in French, a Graduate Certificate in Special Education, and current graduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology-she designed the BetterWorld Languages Methodology. By blending psycholinguistics with a natural language processing approach, this methodology focuses on teaching people to not just speak like a native , but to feel and think in their new language too. Because language is meant to be lived, not just studied, this unique approach naturally inspired BetterWorld Languages to host free community social events. These gathering provide a welcoming, low-stakes space for people to connect deeply, practice authentically and build genuine community.  Whether working with students, families, or fellow educators, Gloria believes in leading with empathy, curiosity, and a whole lot of heart.

Francesca d'Ambrosio
